LEGO Shuttle Adventure Review (Set 10213)
The LEGO Shuttle Adventure set is exclusive to the LEGO Shop and will undoubtedly be a very popular set. The set comes with everything you need for your very own space mission.
Several spot lamps surround the base of the majestic space shuttle, which is in an upright position on the launch pad with fuel booster rockets in place. The shuttle measures an impressive 44cm in height and 25.5cm from wing to wing. A camera man is parked nearby ready to capture the momentous lift off. The two astronauts board the shuttle and prepare for the start of their mission into outer space.
Mission control starts their countdown as the boosters ignite. The shuttle roars upwards at a phenomenal speed and once at the right altitude the detachable rocket boosters split from the shuttle as it glides into outer space.
Once in space the mission continues with a satellite being deployed. The satellite features unfolding antenna and solar cell panels and is deployed using the robotic arm.
At the end of the mission the shuttle returns back to earth where the retractable landing gear is extended as it glides ceremonially back to Earth. The astronauts are given a warm hero’s welcome as they return home, captured by the camera man on board his camera car.
Once back on the ground a new mission may be required to repair the satellite or perhaps there satellite needs to be recovered and flown back to Earth. This versatile set offers many imaginative possibilities.
The recommended retail price for LEGO set 10213 is £79.99. The set contains 1,204 LEGO bricks which equates to an average price of just £0.07 per brick.
