LEGO Real Time Sorting Machine
Here is a LEGO creation that uses sensors to determine colours and then to sort the objects into separate compartments.
Created by Petur Olsen, Thomas Bøgholm, and Henrik Kragh-Hansen, this project was developed in Autumn 2007 by the three software engineering students at Aalborg University.
The LEGO machine is controlled by LEGO motors and sensors powered by a Java Optimized Processor (JOP). This executes Java Bytecode with precise timing constraints for each instruction, enabling execution time and scheduling verification.
